The boy loves the Leica M3

I've owned, off and on, this Leica M3 and 50mm f2 lens for decades. I sold it to a dear friend when I was closing my film lab and camera stores.

The image quality was unsurpassed. But by that time I was unwillingly migrating to cheap digital cameras and moving on to a new career.

Years later, after my friend's passing, his partner blessed me by returning this gorgeous camera back into my care. 

My son, at 10, respects the innate quality of the camera with just a few other references.  While he seems to gravitate to any old, mechanical, camera. I would not be surprised if he ends up setting up his own darkroom someday. Honestly. 

We never know what technology will attract us. I can't wait to see where he goes with this!
