I love shooting at fairs in a 'street photography' style, but usually in the late afternoon and evening...not only for the more interesting angle of the light, and all the color temperatures, but also in order to be a bit less conspicuous.
However, we chose to take the boy to his first fair at mid-day. I think the new camera and tiny kit zoom lens handled the bright noon sun quite well. [GX85, 12-32mm f3.5-5.6]
