Glad I wasn't trying to get anywhere on the water this morning! Thick fog until almost noon. Boat is on the mooring as of yesterday. Can't wait for the first cruise.
Been shooting in B&W a lot lately. Some folks advocate for cameras like the Leica Monochrom because by shooting directly in grayscale they don't have to convert from the native color [apparently it hurts their sensibilities.] Well, there's a fairly direct way around that in Lightroom. Have I lately mentioned how amazing the digital workflow is over the old chemical routine? I mean, don't get me wrong, I loved and embraced film and all it entailed. But. Boy do I get what my eye saw more often now!
Been buried in pixel-peeping after last week's surfing shoot. Decided to take a break and change perspective.
Came across some amazing surf on this morning's walk, and some intrepid surfers as well! All photos Canon 1DmkIII, 100-400L
Quick trip up to Beantown with the point 'n' shoot. They, and we, got dumped on again in a big way today. Oy.
Hey all...been too long between posts, I know.
We headed down Mexico way for my wife's birthday last month, and between jet-lag and the recent New England weather it's been a slow recovery. My approach to this trip was to pack light...a 40mm STM lens on the 5DMKII. The wife took her new underwater housing which I just can't wait to see the results of. OK, ok, you caught me...I did also bring along the 16~35 f2.8L for a few shots. Gosh. Love that lens. Enjoy. |
