Chris is a fine art photographer based in St. George, Maine.
He attended Hallmark Institute of Photography, and shortly after graduation founded a full service commercial film processing lab and camera store in Keene, NH, later adding a second location in downtown Brattleboro, VT.
The lab and stores thrived through the 90's serving professional and corporate photographers, advertising agencies, and discerning amateurs. Customers included timber-frame guru and author Tedd Benson, artist Richard Whitney, landscape calendar photographer Paul Rezendes, and film maker Ken Burns.
He went on to earn a teaching certificate from the University of Southern Maine and then taught darkroom and computer certification courses at the vocational high school and community college level in central and coastal Maine.
After this he spent some time in Washington, DC as an event photographer working with Epocrates Health, Illinois Institute of Technology, Regal Cinemas, SWBC, and the US Department of State. In 2016 he returned to Maine with his wife and young son. He currently serves as an IT project manager.
His work has been exhibited at Open Aperture Gallery and the Newport Museum of Art in Newport, RI; and published in Communication Arts and Photographer's Forum annuals. He continues to photograph, speak, and show collected works throughout New England.
Selected images are available through Saatchi Art: saatchiart and others may be ordered as handmade archival editions, along with selected matting and framing, from his studio. All editions are limited to five prints of any size.
